(TTPS)
In 2022, the Hong Kong government launched the "Top Talent Pass Scheme" (TTPS) to attract highly competitive global talents to Hong Kong and enhance the city's competitiveness. The scheme offers relatively relaxed application requirements, allowing outstanding individuals from around the world to obtain a work visa for up to two years without the need for prior employment by a Hong Kong employer

Provides a fast-track entry pathway for graduates from the world’s top 100 universities and high-income individuals, with no prior job offer required, offering high flexibility
Applicants have the freedom to work, start a business, or explore development opportunities in Hong Kong
The standard processing time is generally within four weeks, making it ideal for talents seeking swift entry into Hong Kong
The principal applicant can bring their spouse and children under the age of 18 to Hong Kong
After holding the Top Talent Pass visa and residing continuously in Hong Kong for 7 years, the applicant can apply for permanent resident status
Applicants have the freedom to choose employment or start their own business, without being restricted to a single employer

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following three categories

Category 1
An annual salary of HKD 2.5 million or above

In the past year, the applicant's annual salary must have been at least HKD 2.5 million (approximately USD 320,000), with no specific educational or work experience requirements.

Category 2
Graduated from a top 100 global university with at least 3 years of work experience

Applicants must have graduated from a top 100 global university (based on the world university rankings designated by the Hong Kong government)

Applicants must have accumulated at least 3 years of full-time work experience after graduation (excluding internships or part-time jobs)

Category 3
Graduated from a top 100 global university, no work experience required (subject to quota)

Applicants must have graduated from a top 100 global university, but work experience is not required

This category has an annual quota (10,000 slots for the year 2024)
